(One of my favorite paintings) I love the blending of colors theres so much peace in looking at this painting.
These past few months have been full of a big epiphany that I will later share but Ive been in a place where God has been taking me to re-shape who Karen Miranda is.
I realized that God never intended for me to just "inform" me of what happened years and years ago in the Bible and know part of this history.
but, he wants me to be part of this shared humanity that those people in the bible lived years ago.
We might have so many differences like culture and time etc. but at the end we share the same
humanity.
I am living just like the characters of God's story lived life.
I am in the process of building what the gospel is and how does it look like in me,
in my daily life
how I live it everyday.
how am I going to share it with others without me adding or imposing my own culture to them.
The gospel
If I am going to leave everything for the sake of.. -TheGospel- I need to know it as it is- everything I have left
as my mother tongue - I need to wrestle with it, doubt it, and embody it.
not in the lenses of culture or in the lenses of how today's Western Christianity looks like,
but really what the simple gospel of what Jesus said and lived.
As weak, insecure, poor, vulnerable, as I feel
I rest in the powerful message of the gospel because this is the message that revives me every morning.
I am most powerful whenever I am aware of the fact that God is in the room with me.
I am most powerful whenever I am aware of the fact that I am constantly in the presence of the Lord.
I am most powerful whenever I am alone with God, crying to him about the things on my heart.
I am most powerful whenever I am choosing to be vulnerable in the things I love doing.
I am most powerful whenever I choose to trust in the truth that I am beautiful because of Christ in me.
I am most powerful whenever I hope in Christ alone.
I am most powerful whenever I do things completely aware of my utter need for God’s grace and strength.
I am most powerful whenever I remind myself that only what is done for Christ will last.
I am most powerful whenever I am loving on others without the need to glorify myself.
I am most powerful whenever I start the day in a heart posture of prayer and surrender towards God.
These are truths that make me come alive.
We are given the daily decision to trust God and to know that we are loved by Him.
Knowing and believing in God's sacrificial love changes and empowers you.
It makes you aware of how weak you are apart from Him, and it changes the way you give, the way you pray, the way you love others.
To know and believe that God loves you makes you love your neighbor more than yourself.
To know and believe that God is always in the room with you changes the way you live.
